I recently had my car tuned over at Norris Motorsports ( everything he did was good so dont keep him in this problem). The car was tuned so nice that at WOT and nearing redline it still runs a 10.8AFR, and has 62# of fuel. Perfect placement if you ask me, well lately Ive been having my check engine light on, so I plugged in my code scanner. I get four codes, which two of them have repeats. Engine bank 1 running lean, Engine bank 2 running lean....well my wideband and fuel pressure gauge tell me otherwise.
I talked to one mechanic whose not so much up on boosted motors, but said it sounds like a vac leak if my afr/fp is on spot.
When I had my srt4(course turbo), it was easy to find vac/boost leaks, I have no clue where to start on the procharger/402 combo. Any ideas ?
Not an expert but was told if both sides are lean then it is either a manifold leak or a prob with the o2 sensors/cats. Probably a manifold leak. I have heard of FAST manis separating under boost. Do you have one?
Ive never seen anything about Fast90 seperating under boost, specially only 9lbs of boost. Theres no fuel smell from the engine bay when the light comes on, and it will come on either just cruising around town at low rpm or it might come on during wot.
I have a feeling it might just be the o2 sensor since I ran around town in that car for a couple months pig riiiiiich. Like I said before even with the check engine light I still hold perfect readings at wot.
