Default stock LS3+ Nitrous?

I'm about to get a 2010 SS camaro with an LS3, and I want to put on a nitrous outlet wet kit.

Vette guys have a little experience with the LS3, so I thought they'd give me some insight.

Has anyone had any bad experiences with the LS3 and nitrous? Does the LS3 need PCM tuning to run nitrous without blowing up?

What is the largest shot you can safely run? I'm guessing 150hp, but I wanna be sure.

150 wet shot is fine without a tune. No bad stories with a 150 shot.

good to hear. I've read that some people can get away with a 200 wet shot on the ol' LS1, but I don't wanna be risky. A simple kick in the **** is all I"m looking for.

A guy at work thinks he is king of the world because he has an R/T 10 viper, and I wanna beat him at the 1/4 track. I figured a 100-150 shot with bolt-ons and drag radials would give me the edge I need.

You figured right!

Headers, 150 shot, tune, and tires should easily take care of business assuming he's stock [and assuming you can drive!]!

Anyone have any amplifying information?

Doesn't the LS3 come stock with wideband o2 sensors?
what AFR does it run at WOT?
Is the fuel line port in the same place as the LS1?
What ignition timing does it run at WOT?

Does it have glass pistons, or can they take decent punshiment? It seems like alot of vettes run low boost on stock shortblocks, so I'm guessing the pistons are OK with a decent tune.

Does the rev limiter pull spark or fuel? I had a car that killed the injectors at redline. That was a nitrous nightmare the first time I hit the rev limiter with nitrous.

150 dry!? Wowzer.

I guess I could save some money and go with a dry shot, but I've always felt they were a little more risky. I like the redundancy of two fuel sources.

Anyhow, I get the vibe from you guys that the LS3 is pretty stout when it comes to taking punishment. I like that. I might just go ahead with the kit.

I have a 2008 LS3
Nitrous express 150 wet shot is going in with Lg superpro headers and a tune June 1st, already paid for just waiting in line
Already have halltech CAI and BB bullets
Word from my mechanic is that the engine can handle it just fine
The only concerns I have heard about is the rear end diff

I will post my results and dyno sometime that week

Good luck, that new Camaro is bad ***

I would LOVE to know what your stock tune looks like before it gets changed. WOT timing, A/F Ratio, etc... Dyno #'s would be great too!
