I personally like the trailer idea, maybe a double trailer w/ 4 turbos

I've got a STS kit and have over 30K miles on it and am happy.

Does it have lag? Yes! Do I drag race? NO!
In a street race I'd win against all the other turbo kits because they'd all be spinning tires

STS keeps your cats, very important for me in VA.

As you can tell, everyone on here hates the STS kit because it's overpriced and placed the turbo in the rear which isn't ideal.

This was with the "base" tune that came with the kit. I think I added around 50RWHP/50RWTQ in the mid with a real tune.

You can keep the cats with the APS...... And you won't be spinning with 345 Mickeys

I run an IPS modified APS kit (really just have the APS turbos and Manifolds left) IPS is working on an even better TT kit for the cars.

I don't have a spinning problem. If you know how to drive, you can plant the power. I am pulling low 1.4's with my car at the track.

Running low low 9's (best is 9.19 so far) hoping for 8's soon

On the street, nothing is more fun tha putting busses on 600rhwp cars and then letting the blow offs whistle at them.

My Kit makes over 1krwhp and is driven more on the track than most people drive on the street.

IPS modified kits FTW!

Atomic,

how much boost were you running?
do you feel like you ran your best time?(meaning is there anything left in the tank to beat the 8.81?

did you upgrade the tranny?

seems MPH went down from 158 you ran before

either way congrats..

Sorry... Let me rephrase... You can not keep the cats in the STOCK location...

I don't know anyone running 345 mickeys in a C6 on the street... LOL

Tons of wide body conversions out there - many are on 345's.

But I like this one even better (mini-tub):

The catch would be whether or not they are running M/T .

I've had the APS kit installed for aprox 15k trouble free miles. Also have cam and 3" APS exhaust as well.
Only change I made was installing a better scavenge pump. It seems some, myself included, have had issues/failure with the original pump.

I may be selling my APS TT C6 due to work slowdown.
If you or anyone else is looking for a TT C6 PM me. I would let it go for a really good price unless things pick-up in the next couple months.

+1 for IPS quality.

(Although not on my vette) I ran one of there custom made kits on my 3000GT last year. Great quality, great service, great numbers (9.83 1/4 out of a V6)

I have owned an APS kit on my 02z and its a great kit.. but i do not think the STS is all that bad.. i mean Stealth 99 runs a single big *** turbo 91mm? and runs 8's at 158mph with a rear mount turbo.. so that whole theory of turbos being in the back is BS.....

It all depends on how it is set up.

That STS dyno chart a few posts up seems to make pretty good low end torque, and that is a mild kit.

well, we sell them all, yet i have a sts kit on my own personal car and i love it! IDK what you all are talking about with turbo lag, it isnt anymore than any other turbo car......yea if you have headers and dont wrap them you will get a little more lag, but with the stock manifolds or warped exhaust there is no more lag than any other kit. plus we are on LOW boost and just made 88*+ HP out of the kit 12 PSI. i sell and love the STS kits and they have great customer service also! but to each his own...i would say i will put up our STS vette against any other turbo car out there in a straight line....

Going to have to disagree with you on that one. Yes they can make power and be fast but compared to a traditional system they certainly have much slower transient response.

With a TTi or APS there is instant part throttle boost. I have never driven a rear mount car that I can say the same for.

Easy to feel on the road, or when comparing a data log from any traditional turbo system to rear mount.
