Default Ecs guys step in........

I am seriously considering getting an ECS 2200 blower. I have an 08 ls3.I am going to run a dual meth kit, lg super long tubes, no cats and 3" exhaust. I am shooting for 700 rwhp on the stock block. Charlie at RPM Motors will be doing the tune and work. I will also be running Torco to up the octane.

My question for you guys is the low end torque. Coming out of a Viper with 3:55 gears, I loved the low end torque. I was going to wait and see how the Techno turned out but I know ECS is proven and everyone is always talking about the low end of the systems looking like a roots blower. Has anyone ever compared the graphs of an ecs car to lets say a maggie car or tvs? I dont want a peaky centrifical and want to feel the power when I'm driving normally. I dont want to have to shift at 4500 rpms to know the power is there.

I would love to hear the power from the ls3 guys (and ls2s). When I go to ECS site, all but one of the track times are from c5s and not c6s. Thanks for the help.

Y.E.S. yes!! 2200, throw in an ECS Blower CAM, then some 4.10's (M6) or 3.42's (A6).

ECS pullies down there supercharger to overdrive it to proved roots type bottom end. and combine it with a restrictor plate to cap the boost at your determined level.. after a forging, take off the restricotr plate and enjoy another 3-5 psi and 50-75HP

Default Low end torque is not a problem with ECS kits

Here is my dyno chart. I have ECS's SC600 kit, AR headers and x-pipe, and their Alky Kit. As you can tell, low end torque is not a problem - 3000 rpm = 500 rwtq.

How much does it affect SC life over driving it with the restriction plate installed?

None.

And I'm not sure that the restrictor plate is part of the 2200 kit. It's meant for the big power guys so it may not have a restrictor.

I still have my plate in and I don't think the power is peaky.

We can definitely help you reach your goal, we have many LS2-LS3-and LS7's that have broke 700rwhp with a bone stock engine and our charger kit.
Sorry for the lack of C6 vids on our site, we have been meaning to get a few up there, here is one of a stock head/bottom LS2 with our alky kit, AR headers, and our blower cam. It put down 780 threw an A4 trans.

We have had LS3's run mid tens with just the base kit (under 600rwhp) so if you go with the methanol kit, headers, fuel system, and eight rib drive, you have more then enough power to run in the nines like we have done many times before.

Are you six speed or auto?

Usually when we have someone going to the 2200, we are usually not using a restrictor plate anymore, but the option is always there!

I'm a six speed. So if I plan on staying with the stock block and not doing a cam (Cars a lease and I want to be able to take bolt ons off and selll them) would you suggest the 2200 or 1500? Do I really need a 8 rib? I want as much torques as possible down low. Thansk for the responses, I'm waiting for Charlie to get back to me.

So do you loose low end torque not using the restrictor?

The parts list looks great! The only thing I'd change is the headers, ARH are the ONLY way to IMHO.

Should be awesome when you get it done!
