Well, I am glad I have roadside assistance. Had the Vette towed home tonight, had a massive BAP failure. It looks like the fused wire on the BAP was zip tied to the metal line running down the passenger side and rubbed through causing a complete meltdown of the fused line, (Edit: or maybe not, I can't be sure, I shouldn't blame this for sure). Pictures later.
Just a quick question, is there an easy way to bypass the BAP on the APS TT system? I am going to look up the instructions tomorrow but it looks like there is a solenoid at the fuel line at the back of the engine that is controlled by the BAP's relays. I have unhooked the relays at the quick disconnect, but I am am sure that since there is no power to the solenoid I am not going to get anywhere. Any way to hotwire this? I may just park it and call it a summer anyway. Maybe just skip the BAP and get a real fuel upgrade.

Thanks for the help,
Shawn
Edit: Looks like I might have switched a wire while I was following along, looks like I would have to re-connect the stock fuel pump wires......guess it waits until later.

I installed my MSD BAP so if it fails I won't be stranded. I put mine in the rear wheel well, used the gray wire for the fuel pump to trigger the relay for the BAP. If the BAP fails I can unplug the BAP and reconnect the original fuel pump gray wires together (by passing the BAP). When I upgrade my tranny and diff I will also installing a better fuel pump and then remove the BAP.
My fuse fried last weekend but only the fuse. I was told to make sure the wires that go to the BAP were connected very well as the MSD unit has had this type of problem before. Looks like I will be getting a Kenne Bell soon or a complete fuel system if I run out of fuel which it looks like I will...
Good luck...
Good luck...
yeah we ran into the exact same issue about a year and a half ago. the problem is the fuse holder. replaced his holder with high grade car audio product and it has been fine for 1.5 years. we swapped to kenne bells since msd wouldnt even take my calls but if at all possible we just do whole fuel system
