methanol injection without tuning

Is it safe to run methanol injection without tuning

I plan to eventually get tuning done

I will be using Boost juice which is 49% meth 51% water

Car is a ls2 with a d1

Yes but it will do nothing for power until it is tuned. In fact you could easily loose power if you use too much.

depends on how your tune is setup. if its setup to pull timing when its hot, then when you spray the meth, and temps go down, it wont take any timing out, increasing power.

but it would be smart to put it on a dyno for safety, if its wrong, KABOOM

It would be about like running along side the interstate blind folded.

Just a tip, windshield washer fluid is about 50/50 meth/water

I've read here on this site that just lowering the intake charge temp(even w/o tuning) will give a bump in hp. Would like to know the real deal myself.

I believe that if you car is currently tuned and by adding the kit it won't affect. If it's hot out, Meth/water cools the charge and the computer automatically adjusts timing.

if the meth is after the intake temp sensor it wont read the lower temps. it will richen up your afr. but if your car is too rich you will lose power. the car will bog down.
