Default iat break out

my car is sd and i want to get rid of my old maf as it is a restriction and i would like to clean up the install with less couplers and clamps ect. has anyone used this harness to separate iat wires from maf so can remove maf then just run new 2 wire iat sensor. iat is only reason it is on car at this point. if someone has already done this which sensor are you using. all i have found are press/rubber gromet fit sensors. i figure it gonna need a screw in sensor because of the boost pressure i run

I got the AEM 30-2010 Air Inlet Temperature Sensor Kit off of Amazon for $52. It will be awhile before I put it in. Do a Google on it and see if it's what you're looking for.

Just get a sensor and grommet from a 97. Drill the hole just under the size of the grommet. It will never come out.
I also just use an OE IAT harness from the same year. Cut the wires and solder in the new ones.
This is probably the cheapest way to do it and it's nice and clean if done properly.

I run a Dallas Performance card maf charge tube. It is as clean as any SD setup I have seen and I don't have to worry about temp / humididty issues.

You dont have to butcher the harness. You just cut the two wires you need for the IAT solder the two ends coming from the harness to the IAT and leave the other ones taped up and out of the way. If you ever need to put it back you just unsolder those wires and resolder them to the original two wires in the harness.

You can also pull the pins from the MAF connector if you want. Then pop those pins into the new IAT pigtail...
