About to install my A&A vortech YSI and looking at meth kits, not very familiar with water/meth. Been reading all day, looks like the ECS kit or probably the AIS system are best? Seems like people stay away from the snow kit?
I'll be running 10-12psi. I just don't want to base my tune on the alky and something go wrong with the alky kit
the ecs kit is pretty much set up already right? no need to adjust stuff on the pac box?

I personallly Love the CMGS kit. They are the only ones on the market with a 52 mm fully digital progressive gauge that controls all functions rather than alittle box with ***** In addition there pumps blow the competition out of the water. 250 psi pumps your not gonna run short with that I run the CMGS Stage 2 kit. Works flawlessly.
i've been running a Snow Performance Kit with Safe Injection for over two years in my hot rod Subie [AVO 380 turbo@23 psi 325whp/340wtq] i run blue windshield washer fluid and it works great. the kit added 20 whp over the tune with no meth.
it's a daily driver and sees ALL weather conditions 24/7 and has never once failed me. good luck.
I much prefer to tune with the FAR SUPERIOR "ecm" the car comes with... I want a very simple methanol control unit that ramps in, and sprays at the level I set it at. period... simple... the fueling, timing and fail safe systems are then controlled by tuning the ECM. The rate of monitoring and ability of the ECM are MUCH better suited for these tasks. This is what works, and the best solution for our platform for several reasons imho... don't buy into the hype, the ECM is where you want 99% of your tune for methanol injection to come from...

....and should the system fail or you run out of methanol, the ECM can automatically compensate.

how are you doing this? hooking the system up to run off of the MAF signal instead of boost? sorry if this is stupid questions, I'm an old school ls1 guy getting back into the game and theres alot of goodies out there now!
Labonte kit is the best I know of.
I've installed the ECS / Alkycontrol kits (they're the same) and the Labonte on my own car.
Labonte kit is much harder to install than Julio's.
Labonte references the manifold pressure and the IDC to calculate injection volume and rate. Also has failsafe.
Labonte has actual meth flowrate feedback.
I think there's another good kit that's missing from the list.
Good luck!

No actually what you do is disable the MAF sensor in the ECM and remove from the car and use the two wires for the IAT of the 4 that are there and use for a 2 bar map sensor and install that in the intake pipe. Then you go through the tune and set it up for a Speed Density tune. Once the computer starts and sees no maf signal it automatically defaults to the SD mode.

The "fail safe" would be in the tuning, and yes the kit can run 100% meth. (as we recommend)
We are proud to be the first shop bringing meth injection to the Corvette community several years ago, and we are pleased to have had the most consistent winning results from the system we use ever since.
Many others have come into the market, but we have continued to set, and hold, records with the ECS/Alky control kit. Which was named so since we developed the kit specifically for the Corvette with Julio. (C5 at that time).
