Default New build by IPS

I have a 2005 C6 427 TT Lingenfelter car. IPS Motorsports has the car now for an upgrade. The car dynoed 556 rwhp before the upgrade. IPS has removed the whole Lingenfelter TT kit to install a custom kit. We are looking for 1000 to 1100 rwhp when done. Just so you know my Lingenfelter kit is for sale at IPS. IPS also has my Corsa exhaust for sale as well. I will be selling my Lingenfelter wheels with tires as well. I look forward to chatting with all you guys and gals in the future.

The Lingenfelter kit that was on the car was only rated for 600 rwhp according to Lingenfelters web site. I have a dyno that the car made 598 rwhp. When IPS dynoed the car for a base line it dynoed about 50 less. Keep in mind when IPS dynoed the car it was 90 degrees outside and about 120 in the shop. The car was fun with that kind of power but I want more like double more.

arent the 427tt from lingenfelter good for over 1000hp one race. i thought that was the plus about them. ride like absolute stock with 600rwhp and add race gas and push 15-20hp depending on the package you got.

That's what I got. Three boost settings that allow me to go from pump gas(93 octane) @ 538RWHP to 856RWHP at the top boost setting with race fuel.

I actually added meth injection and can use all three settings on 93 octane fuel now.

Curious why you didn't use Lingenfelter to modify to your new requirements?

Well I could have used the Lingenfelter kit and made 800 rwhp but to be honest I wanted more. The Lingenfelter kit I currently had would not hold the amount of power I am looking to make. Lingenfelter has only made 1 car that had over 1000 rwhp and it cost 200,000 to build. Don’t get me wrong Lingenfelter makes a nice kit if all you want is 600 to 800 rwhp.

I have developed a great relationship with IPS over the last year. When I sat down with Jeff we discussed what it is I was looking to achieve. When we looked at the existing Lingenfelter kit I would have to change the whole kit anyways to achieve 1000 to 1100 rwhp. So we came up a combination APS and a custom built IPS kit for the car. I’m sure you have heard about Mark’s car IPS built, mine is almost exactly like it but with a few differences. Mark and I are waiting anxiously to see what kind of numbers this car is going to pull.

How much boost for the 556rwhp?

Is the low boost setting like 2lbs?

Good luck with your new build!

I only had one setting and that was 10psi. No boost controler.
The turbos with this Lingenfelter kit are 28's and the compression of the motor is 8.5 to 1. The cam was pretty much stock, and the heads were ls2 ported polished. This kit with more boost should produce around 800 rwhp.

Makes sense...good luck with the build.
Heard rumor that Lingenfelter was investigating the use of a supercharger/twin turbo combo that would exceed 1500rwhp, eliminating turbo lag and maximizing the efficiency of the turbos. I'm sure the price will be up there if it ever sees production however.

I think the new build of IPS TT in Mark's car could see that number in 2010. I know they are looking to set some new records in 2010.
Thanks for the encouragement of my build. I will keep everyone posted on the progress. We sould be within 2 weeks of setting this on the dyno.

I thought that lingenfelter changed their turbos to the gt3076r. Like the aps c6 kit uses?can you post picks of the kit? I might know someone who is interested. Congrats on the new build...sounds awesome..

I believe the new kits are the 30 turbo's but mine only has the 28's. IPS has several pic's of all the parts removed. The only down fall is no instructions for the kit. Lingenfelter does not sell turbo kits to the public so this is a rare opportunity to own this kit without paying a ton of money for it.

Thumbs up for IPS... They did my C6 a&a install and my car runs great and very very strong. Also alot can be said for customer service and they are the BEST shop I have ever dealt with in how they try to treat their customers. When spending thousands, this is very important. No knock against Lingenfelter. Just another thumbs up for IPS....
