HAHAHAH YOUR talking about blowing up? Now THAT is a joke. How many diff sets ups did you go through? How much money did you spend? How about this. Return your car back to stock and send it to me with a 1/4 the amount you have into your car and i will return it with an 8 second time slip.
We had NO nitrous on the car when we went 8's. It wasnt even in the car. We put the nitrous bottle in there for GM High Tech. It was also only an intercooler.

congrats to Mark in breaking the old record for C6Z
, but in my eyes a TRUE(again in MY eyes) RIckY bobby's car with under 25k in parts and labor AND a 4l80e (street tranny) , AC, PS well basiclly a off the show room Z06 with a s/c mods , nothing fancy at all.... pull off an 8.81 is more impressive to ME then a super complex MONSTER turbo, TH400 tranny, no AC , no PS .. 15" slicks.. this is more of a drag car then street car 
I think the 8.81 still stands as an amazing run for the mods and "setup" it had....
