Default ECS Base Kit, Single Shot of Meth, ARH Headers = 711rwhp/646rwtq

right before finishing up Timinva's LS3 that hit 680rwhp/625rwtq in the other thread, Doug finished up another customers LS2.

This car had our base 1500 blower package, ECS/Alky Control single nozzle kit, and ARH Headers.

Final numbers are 711rwhp/645rwtq....

And there is another on the dyno now.... (thats higher) and another waiting to go on the dyno tomorrow...

Hey Mike, I made an appoint for April 20th to do AR headers, cats, pull the SC restricter plate & add a 2nd meth nozzle.

I want to see that magic number..............................700.

You know I got the tread now so don't let me down

What do you think about my signature graphic below?

Isn't the 1500 equal to the t-trim? Is it about maxed out?

What makes you think Mike has anything to do with the numbers!! just kiddin Mike! (he did set the appointment)

Steve, it's not about how much can we make, it's how much do you want to make, and can you afford possible breakage. Would it stress you out if it did break? Or would you drop it off with a smile because now we can really turn it up!

You know we have a ton of these out there like this without issue, but Murphy's law clearly states, if your playing a game you cannot afford, your most likely the one who will be bit.. It's just the way it is.

If 700 is where you are comfortable, judging by our past history I am comfortable with it, then 700 it will be.

Sig is pretty cool btw.

Yes it is the same with the exception of a billet housing instead of cast, and no not yet. We still have a fair amount of RPM left to the head unit if we pullied it down.

His car is a restricted 2200 kit, 11lbs of boost, with headers, alky, and our blower cam, and yes, he is going to need some better meats then what's on there now!

Mike, I hope the one going on the dyno tomorrow is mine. I would like some good numbers from Doug's magic. Keep up the good work. I will call tomorrow mid morning.

If these builds hold up over time, it says a lot not only about about ECS (great kit, tuning etc.), but also about the extreme durability of the LS-2 and LS-3 stock blocks. 800-850 BHP has got to be an extreme load for any stock block to handle. Hats off to both ECS and GM.

Thanks, it is simply amazing how well these LS2's and 3's hold up with not only this kind of power, but actually using it too! We have been breaking the 700rwhp mark for a couple of years now with regularly raced cars, if you told me that would be possible ten years ago, I probably would have laughed!

I know I keep saying this but I plan on joining the 700 RW club later this year... Looks like Uncle Sam isn't going to be as good to me as I hoped for but I will make it happen. Yank the restrictor, add the meth and tune, BAM, 700.

I didn't see it but how much boost is being run on this SL1500 setup to put down these monster figures with such little mods? Also, wouldn't it be more safe to run a dual nozzle meth kit rather than a single especially after hitting 700+rwhp?

Not sure what boost level ecs is bumping me up to yet. They are adding a 2nd meth nozzle and 1 7/8 AR headers to move me from 613 to 700

Wondering this myself. Paxton's site says the 1500 is good to 23 psi, but I haven't seen anyone run one that high.

I could only imagine what 15-18 lbs of properly controlled boost would feel like.

It really is as simple as that!

Depends on the cam, but a stock car will make roughly 13-14lbs, and a cammed car about 2lbs less.

I have not seen 23lbs from a 1500, but we never tried to max one out either. I personally do not think it will happen on a Corvette engine.
