Spec Twin clutch question
For those that have it or tuners who install them, do you use the included shim for the slave?

Spec twin original did not require a shim. The clutch was revised about two years ago and the stack height was changed and it now requires the use of a shim. Call Spec directly and speak with Jeremy for conformation.

Jeremy is sharp as a tac! No doubt! But so is everyone else there (Gary Lang, Matt, etc...)
Any spec twin made in the last 2.5 years will require the shim. Period.

I bought mine about 10 months ago and it came with the shim. I have bought clutches before that came with a shim but it was only for guys installing it in an F-body.
I'll use it.

My super twin took a couple of thousand miles but finally the chatter/shudder has basically disappeared but has a high pedal engagement. When new it does take a while to get used to.

Mine is not ST, it does not have a designation. On the Spec website it's under the multi disc section.

I have the PT trim disks. Mine are now carbon/carbon also.
I did have the SS organic disks but swapped them out since I raised the power and knew it would only hold temporary.
The full metallic is the disk for track use only and not very streetable from what I did research on.
The ST is one step above mine but I'm sure comes with the metallic disk.

I had the ST and it was not too friendly.
