Default fast 102

Hi I just purchased an aps twin Turbo kit for my stock ls2 c6. I also have a fast 102 and Nick Williams 102tb would I see any gains from using this or should I sell it and use the money elsewhere. Thanks

Apologies for bluntness, but there have been a ton of 102 threads.

But I'll play along too....The general consensus is to avoid the 102 on boosted stock motors. A quality porting on the stock TB and intake is more than sufficient. 102's don't like boost very much, and have been known to pop. Not saying yours will, but the fact is that the 102's walls are thinner than the stocker.

But, if you're doing a full-on, ***** to the wall, boosted stroker...that's when you'll get out of it what its' worth. On a relatively mild FI build (600rwhp or so) it's a waste and won't gain you many horsies.
The $1200 bucks or so would be better served on supporting mods for your TT LS2. (ported or high-flow oil pump, new timing set, T-stat, extra oil & trans cooling, ARP rod bolts & head studs, etc, etc...)

really? before I installed mine I looked it over pretty good and it seemed like it would be fine under boost. how much boost is making them pop?
