Default Issues or not?

Ok, after a few days of driving my newly SC'd Z I noticed a few things.

1: At low RPM the car tends to buck a bit or maybe its better described as surging? Either or...

2: When I go WOT sometimes the car hesitates for a second then takes off like a Saturn V rocket.

3: My exhaust note sounds different. Before the SC install when I would decelerate I would get that crackling and popping most of us are well versed with, now the car sounds different. Not as aggressive a tone as before.

Does anyone know what can be causing this? Is it all from the tune of the car? Or is this normal behavior for a SC set up? All thoughts are welcomed and appreciated.

This should be completely normal. Probably in the tune. Mine does the same thing, very slightly, it's worse until the car warms up. My SC'd Viper was WAY worse. The hesitation at WOT is normal too. I forget the explanation. I have found that never just stabbing it and rolling on the gas works great to cure this problem. My exhaust note is way different too and none of that decell gurgle as before the blower. I am no expert however.

The first one is not normal if you didn"t change the cam. The car should not be bucking or surging. Its the tune.

1) some can be taken out in the tune. Mine did it too but at really low rpms and I had a large cam so I basically accepted it. if its stock otherwise really should be doing it if tuned right.

2) Mine did this too. ECS was able to get rid of some of it but it still had it. Seems all SCed Z's have that issue. Like the other poster said you kinda of learn to drive around it and at the drag strip when shifting in WOT it doesnt happen. Not much can be done. Its just a characteristic.

3)) probably because of the blow off valve and cylinders have more pressure on decel. Pretty normal. Also can be adjusted in the tune though as well. There is a decel table that controls fueling in decel. That might have gotten modified. Not such a bad thing. More stealth

To be clear, my "surging" is so slight that most would probably never know it's there. Probably due to the cam. Once the car warms up it goes 99% away. Even then it's only at very low rpm's so I never even notice it.

You are correct, the "surging or bucking" is not like im bouncing back and forth in my seat but it is there and like most said its more noticeable when the car is cold. So im assuming everything that i'm experiencing is in the range of normal?

may need a little fine tuning, but that is typical.
