Default Help with boost-a-pump and meth wiring

alky control has relay tapping into gray fuel pump wire. KB boost-a-pump has power coming from the same gray fuel pump wire. My question is how should the boost-a-pump with meth be wired---can they share the same gray wire? Appreciate any input. Thanks

Is the methanol pump using the gray wire for power or just a signal to flip the relay? This is a case in which a dedicated Racetronix fuel pump harness might be a good idea....quality product and about $70

just a signal to flip the relay.

"attach gray on relay to fuel pump drive circuit gray wire. Red with o-ring to battery + post. Run larger gauge red wire into cockpit to supply power to PAC and MAP sensor."

The relay should be an insignificant power draw but....if you search much on this forum you'll see guys are already having BAP issues drawing more current than that fuel pump circuit was designed for. The last one I saw was a terminal melted on the bottom side of the fuse box.

Definitely use the racetronix harness. For $75 or so it's worth the money.

They should both be able to share that wire provided they are both just using it to trip relays. Although the alky control unit can draw power from any 12V ignition on source IMO. The problem I had with tying into the gray wire was trying to run my BAP from it with no relay. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-f...l-gremlin.html

Ideal solution is the Racetronix hotwire harness above along with the BAP connector kit for the BAP and any 12V ignition source for the alky control. See my post at the end of page 2 of this thread for how I'm planning to wire my alky control. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-f...ocation-2.html

thanks guys. does the racetronix harness plug right into the C6 harness? looks pretty slick and I like the idea of not having to cut the stock harness

At the front of the car it attaches to the alternator power lug. You snake it to the rear of the car and then one end plugs into the chassis side of the pump connector and the other side plugs into the pump harness connector. That is about it. This gives you dedicated 12v + to the BAP/pump.
