Alot of controllers (window switches) have them built in. I use a mechanical one located inside on the gas pedal. I like to know exactly when it is engaging.

I use a mechanical switch on the gas pedal too as there is less chance of such a simple switch failing. It also costs a few bucks and gets wired in to the switches that need to be near your control when you arm the system.
