Default First time at 1/4 mile with supercharger

Only got one test pass and got kicked off for no roll cage. There's a lot left as you can tell by my 60 ft. I came out real easy to see how/if the drag radials would hook and also didn't want to break anything. They worked good, and I bogged real bad..

Shifts were real easy and weather was around 80 degrees.

'06 MN6, cam, intake, headers, cats, ECS Paxton 9 psi, meth, drag radials.

LOL, yes I'm the left column. Didn't really know what to expect with the drag radials and the new found power.

Mike, congrats! Too bad you weren't warned first and told to slow it down like they told me. To pay and get one run is crazy. Nice mph! That ECS blower and Doug's tune going to work. What track was that? New England or Lebanon?

Thanks Artie. It was New England Dragway. I could have kept running if I slowed down, but didn't want to kill it harder out of the hole if I had to let out. I really wanted the 10 sec timeslip.

"who owns the black vette"...."I do"..."do that again and you're out of here. You need a cage, jacket, etc. etc".

LOL! You have to find a less techy track. At least you got your slip. There is an old woman working the slip booth at the track here and she doesn't even give you your slip if you're under 11.5. There is another track around here that doesn't care as much.

Nice MPH. Easy 10's with a little practice.

I didn't think they'd bother me for 11.3. I know a few guys with Shelby's running low 11's and never had a problem. They have tinted windows and said that seems to be the key.

rules are rules so I can't argue with them. Just wish I had another chance to get it down the track for that 10.xx

That's great for your first time out! It will only get better with a good launch and seat time

wait till its cooler out, like in November. practice the launch and the 1/8 mile first then go all out when you get that "im moving" feeling.

Nice ! Im liking that 135 ! definitely in the 10's !

When I get back in the US I gotta head up to NE Drag and try it myself. Im thinking to brake before the finish if the launch wasnt great.. Want to get a good run in before getting the boot

Is this a 2200 paxton? 9psi with a 135 trap speed is screeming and efficient. A 2.1 60' is leaving the line soft or really spinning hard.

Spin - no, it's the 1500 SL with your recommended N/A 228/232 cam and Doug's tuning magic. The 2.1 60' is the result of a very soft launch that hooked and bogged I think I was around 1500 rpms and didn't squeeze the gas pedal enough

That seems to be quite a bit more power than guys are getting from the Vortech Centri. Is that becasue of the tune, the FAST intake, the cam or combination of all. I'm looking to make a move into the FI world and I was set on an A&A kit, but your car appears to making way more power & torque.

Nice job getting thrown out on the very first pass Mike!!! When the 60 foot stinks, lift and make another pass!! It makes a track outing much more productive.

With the power youre making, 10's are certian!!! And I think you'll probably see more MPH too, since you have that cam too! You wont need cold weather either!!! Artie's getting warned for going to fast every week at this point. He's dialing in at 11.50, and only breaking out by a full second.

I'll have to let you know when we do a track rental!
