Default blocks?

Is it worth the money to build my ls2 with a forged bottom end or should i start from scratch with an lsx 402-408. reliability is my biggest concern with a power level at around 630-650 at the wheels. all input is welcome

Good luck with this. When will you be back in FL? I just picked up my GS last week. I think I may get some pictures tomorrow.

A stock motor will make 600rw pretty reliably.. But for insurance, forging the bottom end would definately make it live a very long time! LSX is waay over kill for 600-650rw

At that power level and boost a stock bottom end should live a very long time... with a good tune!
