Default Oil Catch can question

I am wondering if there really is a huge difference between a "empty hollow" canister catch can like this one on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHROM...ht_5364wt_1264

Compared to one like cca sells that has a separator inside. The price is a big difference but I will spend it if it's worth it. I'm having excess oil issues on my supercharged c6

You definitely want the CC with the media seperator inside, it works like and a/c evap coil. The oil comes through as a vapor much like water vapor, and when it goes through the media thats when is collects and drips out into the can. Without it, the vapor will pass through into your throtle body and intake.

I don't know what percentage each will pick up, but mine cheap one definitely picked up blowby oil (this was in a honda).

You can put some steel wool or one of those loofta (no idea how to spell it) things that girls wash themselves with inside one of those cheap ebay catch cans to provide some more surface area for oil vapor to condense on.
