I think part of the appeal of the eforce kit is how "factory" it looks under the hood. If I was going to paint it, I probably would go with a different blower all together. Just my .02 No personal opinion on the pictures really, I could take it or leave it.
When I open the hood on my Z06 I see bright red fuel rail covers staring at me. What's the difference with bright red E-Force covers staring at me. If I had the E-Force, I would consider painting it in Cyber Gray to match my car, yet the color would not jump out at me. I'm getting more conservative in my "seasoned" years.

A couple of things: Cyber Gray isn't exactly a color that "jumps out" anyways. Don't forget that the Edlebrock covers are cast aluminum and painted red (or most other car colors would be much brighter and shinier than the dull red of those injected plastic covers are that come stock.
Like I said, I'm on the fence on this one despite having done the pics in the first place. I like the individuality of some kind of color combination but not set on any particular one yet.
I like how this one is done, especially with the ZR-1 hood...
Wow, I'm surprised at how well the E-force aligns with the ZR-1 window. I know it's the same core rotor architecture, but still figured the E-Force would have enough differences as to look like a$$ under the ZR-1 hood.
Those two big fuel rail covers on your stock C6 are made of plastic, and look it. The E-Force blower and wings are cast in aluminum. I have seen an installed E-Force in person, and it does not look "plasticy". It looks like it belongs on the car and is muscular in appearance.
That's nice to know - that it looks good in person. It doesn't look bad in the pics, just a little large; a fact that is greatly amplified by the fact that it's one color.
I didn't really mean that it looked like it was constructed of plastic, but that it was just a big piece of real estate with not much style to it. It kind of dominates the engine compartment quite a bit, at least in the pics. I think doing either the charger a color and leaving the covers black or the reverse of that would greatly clean up the look in my opinion.
I'm a little old school and don't really like the look of big plastic or aluminum covers over everything as is the trend these days, I think seeing a few more mechanicals under the hood would improve the look for me.
Still, I know I would love to see one under my hood no matter what color it is!
By the way, did you get a ride in that E-Force that you saw? If so, how was it?
working the install on mine now, I painted the covers atomic orange to match the car, and hand painted the raised "SUPERCHARGED" letters black (most everything on my car is blacked out) will post up pics when she's all done. I can't wait.
Oh, 1 more thing, I went to TECH school at Lowry (89) and only went to Keesler for the NCOA in 2004... lol....

Very cool! Looking forward to seeing the pics (for real) as apposed to my Photochop jobs.
sorry folks, I guess being a lowly member, I cant post attachments, have a pic of the painted covers on the bench, send me a PM with an e-mail address if you want to see them, and the car should be finished next week.

Didn't get to ride in the car. Saw it at the Eureka Springs Corvette show and the owner was no where around. I have ridden in a friends GS with Maggie, cam and long tubes with 603 rwhp. I was surprised at how smooth the acceleration was. I was expecting something more like my LS7. Everyone talks about how hard a PD S/C hits at low RPM. I didn't feel that sensation. In fact, it felt more like the way my supercharged Mercedes accelerates. Only much quicker.
It also didn't blow the tires off like I experience in my Z06, but at 140 MPH in fifth gear, he pulls away from me.
