Default NOS questions???

rolling around what direction i want to go in but really stuck. I wont track it but a few times a year maybe so a full time super charger is almost a waste so If a guy went NOS over a procharger settup a couple of questions i have
1. Whats the best/safest system (i had one on a bike and the guys who made the system where way off on my settup and i ended blowing a hole threw a piston) so im a little scared of the stuff really
2. what kind of HP gains can a guy get from headers/vararam/ported intake and to what point would a guys want to take it?
3. whats the best system with the best tech support and knows alot vettes.
4. anyone have a similiar settup with NOS and loving life?

I know thats alot but i trully do appreciate the responses, paul

well best and safest set up is the one tunes properly wet or dry both have ups and downs. do som research you will find many different opinions on both. Both systems need safety devices to keep them in safe like window switches and such the nitrous fires you see and hear about are all from a wet system that was activated too soon and caused a back fire. but if done right they both work well I hear dry is harder to tune. so most people go for a wet system and how much are you looking at getting out of your car that is another thing to consider also. sorry I didn't anwser any real questions but I have been doing the same thinking with my car too and when I get off deployment I'll finish putting together the kit and install it in my car I'm going with a wet plate system.

so your saying a 4l80e has 27% drivetrain loss?
to be at aprox 575 rwhp it should be aprox 650 at crank

what if you could lock up the converter??????

Thats what we figured. Isaacs car went from 965 with the 6 speed to 830 with the 4L80... We figured 16% over the 6 speed. Its ALOT
