Default 29" tires

hey guys im trying desperatly to find traction with my 700rwhp corvette. Im currently running 325/30 19 tires on my car and I was wondering if it would be possible to run 315/40 19 tires on my car. I did some visual measurements and it looks like it will clear but im not sure. I don't want to put 18" rims on just yet because that money is not in my budget right now. So do you guys think it would fit. Im already running Hoosier R6 slicks so I don't think I can buy a stickier 19" tire

NT05R is stickier than those hoosiers. They are decent once they are fully heated up but not like the NT05R.

Toyo R888 is also good.

A 325/30/19 should be putting almost identical rubber to the ground as a 315/40/19. Greater than 1" difference front to back will screw up active handling. Go 18" wheel 47 offset 11" wheel and run a 305/35/18 555R2 Nitto or Toyo R888. Fits perfect on my car.

I don't know about that. The C6Z has a 1.1" larger rear stock. I think a reduction like .6 difference front to back is much more of an issue.

get a 17 inch wheel and run a 28 10 hoosier slick if all else fails.. you will not get a tire to hook better unless you move to a 15 inch wheel. your wasting money on 19 inch anything.

I disagree, My experience has been both of those are less sticky then the hoosiers. Are you sure you got the hoosiers to the right temp? The hoosiers are road race tires and have a fairly thin temp range that's fairly high as well.
