Default Dewitt Direct fit input Please

LS2, 07 C6, A6, Z51, E Force with pump, cam, springs and keepers, headers, Cosa, Beehive with motorhead47 mods (TY Sir). Temps are running 180's highway but I quickly see 200's sitting but is quick to cool off moving.

What temps are you guys seeing with the Dewitt radiators, I feel that is almost a must here. I don't like these temps staying this high with me want ing this beast to live.

Thanks for your input

Get used to it. Even with a Dewitts when the summer gets here your going to get high temps. Don't get me wrong with a 160 and a Dewitts you will run at 205 or so at cruising speeds. But once you let the hammer down a few times it is going to run up.

i have a 160 stat and dewitts and seeing 190* on the highway with 50* ambient temps. I didnt have the cover over my radiator in place so I'm suspecting temps should go down.

Using sheet metal foam and plastic to seal the front cavity to the radiator helps as well.

Yeah I'm already at the 160 Stat and I was just wondering if the Dewitts worth the money. It would have to run cooler with twice the coils and volume !!! I see 180's quickly so it is recovering.

If you want to wait until may I can let you know, I was seeing 220 last year when it was hot out.

Are you running a trans cooler as well with the Dewitt's? I recently went FI and notice that my trans temps get warm real fast even in this cooler weather. To be honest I never paid much attention to them prior to putting the SC on though, so I'm not sure if this is normal for my vehicle or not. Mine is an A4 with the stock converter and 3.42 RPM stage 2 rear diff.

I'm also contemplating cooling solutions since summer is right around the corner but don't want to spend money frivolously.

Yes this is a 6 speed paddle shift and I watch the Trans temps and they are ok. But.... trans temps are one of my concerns with wanting a Dewitt.... this leans toward a combination of issues with cooling. There is a Oil cooler AND Trans cooler and now it has the burden of heat soak from this blower. I'm just thinking I would hate myself for not going ahead and spending this 600-1000 bucks to cool this whole thing down ...it can't hurt

I did not see much cooling running this radiator, keep the stock radiator and use the funds on something else IMO.

Thanks this is the kind of information I was looking for. Has anybody got temps for before and after. I would think oil and trans cooling would have to figure in here too since they are bringing heat. NE Texas here BTW BADZ so it gets hot and humid

Sitting still is always an issue. Airflow across the heat exchanger, AC condenser and finally the radiator when at rest is totally dependent on the cooling fan behind the radiator. The first thing you want to do is have a fairly aggressive fan speed profile set up by your tuner.

I have a Dewitt's in my supercharged 07. I see "stock" temps of around 210 during pretty much any driving conditions. I have the stock thermostat and stock fan settings. When I had the stock radiator, the fans ran quite a bit. With the Dewitt's the fans run much less while still maintaining the same temps. It's definitely a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion.

I never see more than 210 and I've been through a full muggy hot summer here in Florida with that same supercharger. I have a 160 thermostat, Dewitts with no internal coolers, an external Z51 oil cooler and of course the same heat exchanger you have out front.

Here is the stock cooling fan table..notice it doesn't even come on until nearly 200 degrees and then only at 15%

My current fan profile...

I have a Different S/C setup than yours with a VERY large intercooler instead of your "heat exchanger", but I would highly recommend the dallas performance "twin" spal fan setup. This setup has worked great for me and several others making some decent power down here in the Texas heat...

I did the same upgrade with the stock radiator and it does well in the Tx heat

Is the DP "twin" spal fan setup a direct plug and play? I had another shop install the twin spal fan setup with the relay wiring setup and it was a nightmare. The fans would cut off and on and my car was running at 240 degrees.

I'm also running the stock single fan with the dewitts, this is probley why I didn't see much of a change.
The twin fan setup may be something I may consider as well.
The humid Texas weather here is terrible during the mid summer time.
