Default Best Screw ?

Does anybody have any personal experience or knowledge of the Kenne Bell or the Whipple supercharges, as compared to the Magnuson TVS2300, they both claim better performance and efficiency, and both now have kits for LS3/7 Thanks !

I don't have personal experience with either one, but I see a lot people on Camaro forum using Whipple and are supper happy with results.

The Maggie TVS2300 has the longest track record for being very reliable. But on the twin screw side, people and tuners love Whipple.

I don't think its a question of which one is the best, but rather what you are looking to get out of it. If you are looking to make big power (800rwhp+) then the maggie might not be the right choice for you. As far as efficiency goes you are corect both the Kenne Bell and Whipple are more efficient than the maggie. This is because the Kenne Bell and Whipple are both true twin screw superchargers while the maggie is not. The new rotor design of the TVS maggie units comes close to that of a true twin screw efficiency but still falls short.

To add more about the maggie, specifically the TVS 2300, I was able to get a very reliable 700rwhp out of the maggie on a stock LS2 with a mild cam and full bolt-ons. The highest 2300 build I have seen to date is somewhere around 830rwhp but that build required a vast amount of work and parts over mine. I believe it is a forged LS3 with extensive porting on the TVS manifold as well as the heads and a custom cog drive system. So numbers north of 700rwhp can be achieved with the maggie but get ready to tear into the bottom end as well as some custom work and parts. O and a lot of CASH$$$

My tuner has built a 900rwhp TVS2300 and a few of these.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEGJGPoU3yc

but he is using Whipples on the Camaros with pretty good results. I would go with the TVS but a few months from now I could jsut as easily see myself going with a Whipple.. they just need a little more time\build to know what they can do.. Either way you go you will get some serious neck snapping fun.. there is no "bad" choice between the 2..

I've been hearing for years how "effecient" the twin screws are, but haven't seen it in a vette package. The lowly Maggie just works and works well. It's ineffecient as hell but seems to deliver. How many twin screw builds have been through this forum that have fallen well short of the lowly Maggie? It pretty comical really. Big bucks spent with little results. "Potential"....yeah right. Where's the meat?

but the Whipple on the Camaros seems to be pretty darn good.. Better than the TVS.. right now I would say no.. safe money is on the TVS without question..

Im not saying it cant be done its just a matter of how much time and effort to get there, o and ya dont forget money. I have no doubt that there is a 900rwhp TVS2300 out there but how how much more money did it take to achieve that? I would guess double if not triple that of the easy to achieve 700rwhp.
