Default Gauges

I'm having an A & A supercharger kit installed soon on my 2001 LS1. I plan on running boost and fuel pressure gauges, but am wondering if an A/F ratio gauge is worth having. Looking at the Autometer gauges, they don't provide a lot of info, so I'm not sure there is much benefit. That said, they don't cost a lot either. The motor will be professionally tuned by Cunningham Motor Sports.

Personally, I would skip the A/F gauge and only run the fuel and boost pressure.

I have those gauges on the A pillar for my E-Force.

A/F is a light show. Vac/boost & Fuel pressure are your friends.

Really? Assuming A/F gauge means wideband I think that is the single most important gauge to have. If OP is talking about the ~50 Autometer AF gauges that tap into the narrow band then I would agree.

Most A/Fs read the stock O2s. Even a wideband would be difficult to monitor while driving. A wideband that can store would be good for tuning.

A wide band is no more difficult to monitor than a fuel pressure gauge or boost gauge.

An Innovate MTX-L or AEM UEGO is ~$190. Money well spent IMO even if you're not going to pipe it into tuning software.

I would not be opposed to a digital gauge. The green and red light show that most use for display is useless. Another point, you would need 2 of them to see both sides of the engine.

All the WB's I know of are digital as well as sweep. No one uses two. You put it on the drivers side bank where lucky #7 is. If you had an injector failure on the passenger side you would not know it but IMO it's still better than a FPG. But I have both and more.
