Default How to get more torque?

After procharger at 6 psi and a cam I'm getting 524rwhp but only 431 tq.
These numbers on my 2011 GS.

My 2009 c6. Had 495/450 ! this was without cam

Adding cam lost tq to my 2011 gs

Any ideas to gain back tq. I was hopeing to get more tq with my new setup.

Any ideas?

One option would be to pulley down and add a restrictor plate in front of the procharger's inlet.

Another is to change cams, revisit the tune..........I'm in for more answers too.

Good luck.

At 6psi you are seeing less than 2psi at 3000rpms and 3psi tops at your torque peak. Because of the nature of the boost the centrifugal makes and the large intake runner of your LS3 heads I could see the lower torque and higher HP from the same pulley/blower setup. At lower boost levels the boost dosn't really start to kit in until the torque peak of the stock cam has passed. Hence the wide gap between HP and torque. It is not uncommon to see a 90-110 rwhp-rwtq gap on centri S/C's.

Definatly talk to ECS about pulley down and using a restrictor plate, should help big time. Be prepaired to run meth injection due to the extra heat the restrictor plate creates.

Meth is not a bad idea. I gained 80rwtq with it. Fealt like adding a small shot to the car.

no way in hell a supercharged engine should be making less tq than his previous na combo. tune or cam is wrong

Previous car was a base c6 with procharger at 6 psi

Current car 2011 gs with same procharger but added different cam...

Both had/have kook headers/cats

Well with only 6psi at 6500rpms on the stock long block, I'd say a max effort H/C car could put down more peak torque.

OP look into some LG Superpro 1 3/4" headers, they gain big gobbs of torque down low. About 20rwtq at 4000rpms over Kooks LT's.

That seems very low. Might want to look into another tuner.

Is this an auto or manual? Either way, torque seems really low to me for a blower car. I was at 432 rwtq with a small'ish cam and LG headers on my '08 manual. With 10 psi from a T-trim and some meth, we got 578 rwtq and 683 rwhp. And that was with conservative A/F and timing. Charlie didn't want to be liable for pushing it any further with the stock pistons.

I'd think you should have at least 500 wtq, but who knows?

Looking at those specs I think the cam along with the low amount of boost is contributing to the issue. Either get a cam geared towards torque or go with a restricted setup.

What the hell is a blower cam? I would expect the tuner to know. Remember I do alot of road/track events (not drag racing) ...I don't know if that makes any difference in selection...

A cam that is specifically designed for a blower(supercharger).

Your N/A cam may make great power N/A but under boost It may be bleeding off boost/compression hindering your blower from making the power it should.

What specs do you all suggest on a blower cam?
