ok I am recently in need of a motor for my car. This 376 looks pretty decent for a complete boost ready motor. stab it with intake and oil pan and roll on. But befor I pull the trigger do yall know if there is any builders that can build anything better and as complete as this one for this price? around $5500. Thanks guys
I wondered how the powdered metal connecting rods in that engine would hold up. Sounds like TrenA has been beating the hell out of it. Must be good stuff

QUOTE=TrenAman;1577791212]Solid engine.. I have it.. putting down 888\827 through an auto.. $5500 minus what you sell your pull out engine for.. pm if you want more info..
He sold the car shortly after completion to a guy in the pacific NW...also should make note that on another dyno besides where he had it built, it put down a hair over 700 RWHP. Not knocking or blaming anyone, but almost a 200 HP difference is a lot when comparing the integrity and longevity of a motor.........

Yes. It is an iron LSX block. The LSX 376 has powdered metal rods, forged pistons, and a lower compression ratio (around 9.0:1 I believe) than the LS3 counterpart.
Thanks for the help im in between a build 402 ls 2 or this lsx 376 for a fi build for about 800 rwhp is my goal

I would build a motor....the LSx376 is a good option if you need a motor NOW, but it is far from a perfect motor for boost. The powdered metal rods and weak rod bolts are a limiting factor, IMO.
I would rather spend my $5k on parts I picked out.
