Default Low Fuel Pressure?

My fuel pressure has decreased since I first got my car. It used to sit at about 58-60 PSI, now at about 50-52 PSI. I have a A&A vortech supercharger kit and fuel pressure gauge. A few questions:
1) Can the fuel pressure gauge be incorrect?
2) Has anyone seen a reduction in fuel pressue like this and what may be the cause?
3) If the fuel pressure is really at 52 PSI, will it hurt the car to drive it?

GM sets the fuel pressure at 59psi I believe. If you really do have 52psi I would have to think that the pump is going bad.

You need to validate and verify the accuracy of your current meter by comparing its reading with that of another meter (preferably a calibrated mechanical meter known to give accurate readings). If you are using a BAP, you may be witnesing the slow demise of your OEM Fuel Pump.

I had my gauge go out on my C 5. Now on this set up it is starting to show 55-57. I'm going to check the gauge. Both times, autometer gauge.

Mine is doing the same thing. I have upgraded the fuel pump to a lingenfelter high flow pump. I put a ECS stage 1fuel system in. Has double nozzle meth injection. Boost a pump. Still dropping to 51 psi. Could it be caused by stock rails? C6 manual 08. Checked wirhcother gauges and still says 51. Not running lean up top though

Holy 2011 thread batman.

Could be your fuel filter. rails would not cause it to drop.

Don't think so. Fuel filters are in the tank on the C6. They get changed when the pumps do and I have new ones on the driver and pass side.
