Default Cooling Lesson Learned

Hello all,

In my never ending quest to get my z running cooler and better I decided a second time to add dual Spahl fans to my Dewitts radiator. This is the second time I have tried installing the fans. The last shop who did the build wired them incorrectly and I gave up and went back to the stock single fan. This time the fans were wired into the stock wire harness, but it was still running to warm. I flushed the radiator and went with a distilled water/water wetter combo. Not much better and on the drive home my stock alternator went bye bye. For whatever reason the shop that did my motor/blower build took off the front air deflector and never reinstalled it. Well I picked one up at the local dealer and walla, temps dropped instantly 20 degrees minimum. If you do a search on the front air deflector, peeps claim the z06 does not need it because it is a front air feeder. Well, with the intercooler blocking the front, it is a must and makes one helluva difference. Hopefully this might help someone in the future. Oh by the way in the hot temps my car made 915rwhp/801 ft lbs on a 91 octane/meth tune!

Does it still have the panel that blocks the air from entering from the bottom? If that panel is still there, It should not need the middle deflector. Maybe the problem is that the middle panel is missing and the air is going under the car instead of forcing it thru the radiator.
BTW Nice numbers.
