I agree, a viper would be more suitable for 1400rwhp v10 but then if your going v10 you might as well go UGR TT lambo and DESTROY every Sports car known to man out of the way......I mean that's if you have about 20 billion in the bank lol

or a GTR .. AMS just ran 8.97 on DR's @ 169.77mph , no cage 100% street car

60k for a GTR and 50-60k in mods +AWD =170mph trap speed and very little traction issues... just sayin..
BTW 60-130 IN 3.34 ..WORLD RECORD 100 % STREET CAR

Be ready to spend 100K minimum (not including the cost of the car). If you find a well build car you might get away with less depoending on what's been done.

I'm not sure I understand this statement? You don't want to compete with them but want a car on the same level? Then don't spend 100K on the car, build a reliable 1000RWHP vette and save yourself a lot of headaches and MONEY.

I've been Alpha shopping already. But for now, I'll stick with the Z, but for the next replacement car I've been watching those GTR's closely.

I've heard quite a bit of info that once over 1200, the lambo's have issues with tranny and clutch. Haven't seen one on out on the street killing the Supra's or Vipers yet. No doubt they are very very fast and are potentially the King of the Street car.

This is the only car to do so, how many trannies, clutches etc have they gone through? How reliable are they and for how long? BTW, there are several "street cars" that have gone faster so I wouldn't exactly call this a "World Record 100% Street Car".

Seriously, there are very few "street" build C6 platform cars that make the HP you say you want. check out Taylor's website and you will see what he does, several of us here are loyal customers, check him out and ask around you will understand. "Most" of the fast Houston Boys go to him...
I agree Dallas Performance is putting my car back together right now best shop around....

What was done to your Cobra? We have a few Z owners out here in this area, looking forward to having another one. Especially one of that caliber. Gonna make my little head/cam/n2o Z **** itself. Good luck.
Yes we are still shopping. We have decided on Highland Homes as our builder after looking at several. I know they are building in a lot of different places in the surrounding Houston area but my wife really likes Katy. That will probably be where we end up. The cobra was not to fancy. stock motor with a KB and full bolt ons. kill mode was a tad over 700whp. im sure your Z is killer!!!

no doubt they can be really fast but they look like an egg. and the Z's look like a racecar

Don't forget about the maintenance (and the replacment of broken parts) of keeping it on the road after then build. I look forward to seeing another high HP car in the Katy area.

You should have bought RC's car when it was for sale....local, similar hp, and you would have saved a ton of money.

Doesn't Dallas offer the F2 conversion off the shelf yet? That huge snail is supposed to work with a few of the kits on the market right now. The fuel system will need to be custom.

OP why a 08 or newer? IF your going to build the whole drivetrain why bother with the heavier more expensive late models? 2006 will do just fine.

Get the whole ZR1 drivetrain fully built. Get Boost by gear and look into Davis Traction control. You will need it against those lambo's who have AWD and so you can floor it below 140mph with your 345 width Drag Radials!

Since you are looking for a place to build your new home let me suggest a place. Across the street from Dallas Performance. Just sayin'.

But think about how cool'd you be online.

We all knows a few things, and one of the things we know is it's not how you stand by your keyboard...it's how you type on your keyboard. You better learn that.

I've been wanting to ask you this since you own a beasty gtr. Heard you guys have a weakness in the stock transmissions. Not so reliable from what i heard......What's the update? I'm assuming you don't have a stock trans correct?

Rebuilt GTR trans is $20K. And you can only get it from Japan. I don't think they have upgrades yet. They just do a bunch of changes to the trans tune to get it to live under that additional power for short bursts.
