I'm in need of a new Harmonic Balancer. I would like to get a solid aluminum piece for my LS7 but I can't seem to find one (OEM 6 rib).
The ATI piece has the rubber/Elastomer stuff that will break down over time so I'd rather get a solid aluminum piece. I have heard that someone makes a great for under $200 - anyone know who/when/where to find this item?
I looked at the PowerBond piece but I did not see one listed for the LS7. Sigh.
I've searched and searched here on the forum and just can't find any good info! Help? =)
Innovators West. You really don't want a cheap dampner on something that makes that type of power. The point of the harmonic dampner is to absorb harmful harmonics that will kill engine componets if not otherwise dampened.
They have to make one so it wouldn't be ready 'til next week. Argh. I'm also going to revisit the ATI offering since they have them in stock. You think the ATI piece is ok? (I've always used OEM on everything I've built so this is foreign territory to me)! lol

Guys, thanks for the heads up. I pulled the trigger on the ATI piece in hopes to get her back on the road tomorrow. Let's hope my experience proves better than you all's (fingers crossed)!
Not a fan of the ATI in general since I have seen many come apart and shear bolts after many miles of use. However these were on blower cars and a turbo car will be much softer on it.
