So after much discussion with many shops, I'm now COMPLETELY LOST.
Some shops say just do NA with head work and cams... get maybe 550whp...
Some shops say SC and get power instant... cheapest bang for the buck and getting around 610whp...
some shops say SC with upgrades to valves and guides so motor will last longer without headaches (which I completely agree with)...
some shops say TT since the reliability is about the same as SC...
TT setup is about 5k more then a SC setup with install and tune. I'm sure the TT will sound sick on my 08 z06... however always worried about major overheating... even looked into STS kit since the TTs sit in the back which will help engine temperatures stay little cooler. I've also been leaning on the A&A kit since they have a great intercooler setup and ofcourse the ECS kit as well....
Do your research and set a realistic power goal. There are many great vendors on the forum who will get you on the right path. I live on the East Coast so I had ECS hook me up. They are true professionals and won't steer you in the wrong direction. I have not had any issues with overheating. 784 RWHP on a 2008 C6 which is a daily driver because it is my favorite one to drive. Good luck with your decision.
originally i went with a H/C setup on my 03 z06. the car made 455 whp and was a blast to drive. the power was instant and the car would jump with the slightest touch of the throttle. It was the most responsive setup I had. I then added an a&a kit and the car made 600whp. It was definitely faster under full throttle and in general just a very nasty car. The acceleration was amazing especially between 5k and 7k rpm. The downside was the car was not as responsive in part throttle situations. Also low rpm power 2500 rpm and below seemed worse then just h/c. Still though I prefered the extra power. Now the car is in the shop for a tt setup. Ill comment once I get it back. IMO if you were only gonna go for 600 whp with the blower as opposed to 550 H/C I would do the H/C. If you were gonna push harder and go for 700 then Id do the blower.

I'm in Maryland too... Is your internals stock???? has to be for 784whp....
If you live in a state that requires smog test, you might want to consider that TT will not pass smog while most of the superchargers are smog legal. I
The ECS kit provides the quieter Paxton SC unit - if you are at all concerned about a noisier Vortech idle.
That's funny, since Paxton and Vortech are owned by the same company. Given equal size blowers, SI vs 1200, or T vs 1500, they sound about the same to me, and I've been around quite a few. You must be thinking about the BOV in terms of noise or are considering the bigger blowers.
Not really. BOVs are cool if you like a loud one, which I do.
However, the idle and driving noise of the SC's, as the ones I mentioned, you will hardly hear(unless you go novi 2000, ysi, F1, etc.
The noise will be coming from the BOV when the RPM's are hanging under little load while driving, or in between shifts, not from the SC. When you stomp on it, the blower will be overwhelmed by the exhaust in the car and you won't hear it. The blowers you will hear in the car will be the TVS2300's whining.
I meant louder the better for me... I miss my TT built G35... be nice to hear a nice BOV as well~
I have had both the S/C & TT. If you can afford the extra cost of TT with valve & clutch upgrade, the TT is a lot of fun on a V8. The car and the power just feels different, it just wants to go. If your budget is not limited to a S/C, then go with TT, otherwise take a good look at Whipple kit, it gives you some serious response right off the start.

Deciding factor should be what your goals are and your budget.
There really is no better bang for your buck then the A&A kits, with ECS's kit being a close second (based on price, there both top notch kits). With either of these basic kits and the addition of a cam you would be in the high 600's all day long.
Twin turbo, great thing, if you have money to burn. Turbo Technologies builds a hell of a setup. Its the rich mans forced induction though.
I've had both the STS setup and the Using on my Z. I prefer the Turbo setup because I was able to harness the power and it was very reliable with no additional things to buy to support the power. The power is adjustable on the fly for around 600 bucks, electronic boost controller. No heat soak issues and on only when your in it. The SC was awesome too but peeling out is great for show only. Very hard on the drivetrain because its damn near an instant hit. I'm going back to Turbo.

Couldn't be happier with my ECS kit and stock motor. Customer service is top notch @ ECS, and their kit is fantastic all around. They don't cut any corners and the "basic" kit can make big power if you want it down the road, without having to scrap components. The fact that they have tons of racing experience (all types) makes it nice also.
I can't believe you got this many responses and no one knows what you want to do with the car. I can't help but wonder what you told different shops to get that variety of awnsers.
