Default Vortech/Paxton Upgrade?

Hello,

I have a YSI blower on my Z06 with all the supporting mods. I am making 950rwhp SAE with a overdriven crank pulley, 2.70" blower pulley, 8 rib ugrade and the flip drive system. The problem is I am at high elevation and making about 15#s of boost. That is about 800rwhp at this elevation. I would like to crack the 900rwhp at my elevation. Is there a upgraded blower from Vortech or Paxton that will fit on the existing brackets? I heard there is a Paxton 2500, but believe it will not fit on a c6.

Thanks!

That would require a new bracket and the F1 head unit? Anything else needed? BTW, I purchased the YSI set up from you! Thanks!

no, there is no other head unit that will work. You would have to have that bracket machined. Just put a small nitrous kit and bingo...

Ysi's have made over 1000rwhp. Maybe look into other ways to make power like a bigger cam or getting the heads done.

Yes I know they have and on the right dyno I am sure the SAE numbers will make 1000rwhp. Especially considering that the 950rwhp was made in 104 degree temps. The main problem is I am at high elevation and the actual power is about 150rwhp less. I want to surpass 900rwhp at this 5200' elevation. I already have a blower cam and the heads have been worked.

I understand that since I live at ~4500ft. Just saying maybe there is another 50hp from a different blower cam or some other mods. Stepping up to larger headers/etc. Maybe a new intake manifold. There has to be other places to pick up ~50-100 without swapping blowers. Without seeing an exact mod list it is hard to say.

Forged shortblock 10.25-1, worked heads, blower cam, ported FAST102/tb, 2" headers, 3" exhaust, YSI, 2.70" blower pulley, overdriven crank pulley, 8 rib setup, flip drive, HP tune on 100% methanol with supporting fuel system. The elevation is killing about 4#s of boost. Sitting right about 15#s at my elevation. Don't get me wrong, the car is definately a beast with 800rwhp, but there is a 1250rwhp Cobra, 1100rwhp Supra and a turbo zx14 that I am up against.

Why? I have almost the exact setup going on my car that is posted above. It is almost done(tomorrow) and I will be running a 402, YSI, ported LS3 heads, low/mid 10's in compression, Dallas Performance direct drive, and dual meth. I'm going to shoot a small 50-100 shot in to it to get it going from a roll.

The nitrous is only for racing. 800-1000rwhp is plenty for the street to have fun with without the spray. The nitrous will make your car a lot faster due to the instant torque than just another pulley or more boost, and lower your IATs. I'd just add a small shot to your already awesome setup.
