305/35-19 Micky Thompson ET Street II vs. 345/30-19 Nitto NT05R on a 600whp+ car
I used to run the 305/35-18 MT ET Street II's on my C6 LS3 w/ 425whp and they hooked like crazy. No spin anywhere after just getting a small amount of heat in them.
Fast forward to life post-procharger though (~610whp) and I'm running a set of the 345/30-19 Nitto NT05R's and even after getting them hot I'm unable to hook up in 1st gear and 2nd gear can be hit or miss. I also notice less high speed stability compared to the MT's.
Part of my fond memories of the MT's is probably due to the fact that I was making ~200whp less power back then, but what are people's thoughts comparing the 305/35-19 MT and the 345/30-19 Nitto at the 600+whp power level mounted on a 19x12 wheel?
It seems odd to go from a 345 to a 305, but I noticed the outter edges of my NT05R's never get worn, so I'm not sure how much different the contact patch would actually be, plus the difference in the tire materials and their ability to hook.

I've heard a lot of complaints with the 345 NT05R (I have no idea if it's all NT05Rs) and a personal friend of mine runs them and he says the sway at higher mph.

I have the 19inch MT's on my car. I only have 540 rwhp and can still spin them at will in first. They hook well in second though. I just bought some extra rims and will use them mostly at the track. They are ok around town but I don't like the way they feel at high speeds.

I have even wear on my 345s with a 13" rim. And dead hook 2nd with 6xx. I'm at 160 mph about every other day with them. They don't float with less that 28 psi. I keep mine at 25 psi. Hope that helps. Coldest it's been here has been high 60s though.

I can answer your question with two short statements. (I have well over 1,000 RWHP)
If your car spends more time at the strip, then the MT's. If it spends more time on the street, then the Nittos (hands down).
