When upgrading clutch should you also upgrade the slave cylinder and if so to what?
Thanks
Stock works fine just upgrade to a new one while you have it apart. I believe SPEC does offer a upgraded slave. What is worth upgrading is the master cylinder to a 7/8 bore Tick unit.
It completely depends on the clutch you are choosing. If the clutch calls for an aftermarket, then yes. If not, dont waste your money. We use an upgraded slave and/or master for probably 1 out of 40 clutches.
It is pointless unless it is needed. Not to mention, we have yet to ever use an aftermarket slave/master that doesnt turn the car into a heavy pedal car, with not so enjoyable pedal. But.. I must add, some people really enjoy the way it makes the clutch feel/react.
We do not prefer it.

Jeff is the first forum vendor to but his opinion up on the forum, but I have personally talked with another vendor, that will remain nameless, who had the same opinion about the TICK unit having a very heavy clutch pedal.

The main reason I went with the Tick is unlike the factory unit, the Tick is adjustable (and very easy to adjust as well). I now also have the Tick single stainless steel line going right to the slave instead of the bulky, mid-connection factory unit. Mated to my RPS street twin, it's a tad heavy but I drive my car almost everyday, 60 miles round trip with moderate traffic, and never have an issue. It held up perfectly last Friday at the strip with over 675rwhp and 7K rpm shifts.
the first link is to the master cylinder right ? I have a 2000 frc but the description only said it’s for c6 is this also the one I need ? I’m switching to ls7 clutch also
