After speaking with some shops they wanted $3,000 for a cam install and tuned, I asked if i go a through the meth route if I brought them julios's alky kit and they told me $2,000! just for install and tune (I guess they don't have any discounts for college students )

I realized if you want to make big big power go with another kit.. so for now I'm probably just gonna get a 3.25in pulley 1000cc injectors... racetronix harness.. kenne bell BAP, wire and install injectors, pulley myself, tune it on e85, and just keep an eye on the fuel pressure up top to make sure im not starving it.
If you don't have, or don't want to spend a ton of money, keep it simple. What I posted above is proof it can be done. Talk is just talk. The problem is the more power you make, the more upgrades you need, and it gets expensive fast.
I am not sure the stock pump and bap will be enough with E85... but have never tried it.

LS402
Good heads
custom cam
ARH 1 7/8 headers
pump gas and water/meth
At this point I was running a 2.75 pulley, 8 degree overdrive damper, 90 mm idler pulley and had no belt slip to speak of.

This is through a 6L80 and triple disc stall. Should be higher in a manual car.

I took the eforce as far as I could. It is a great blower and never gave me trouble. I have nothing bad to say about them.

As you can see the boost is about 14, and creeps up about a half lb at the end. For those who say power drops off dramatically at the top..........I guess its all in the right setup.

Thank you, this is exactly what i was looking for. I am currently having my motor forged and was looking to see who turned up the power on the eforce. I do not think I will go with the water/meth direction by personal choice so I can assume ~650 whp is reasonable.

LS7
Manual
Kooks Longtubes
Callies Rods
Compstar Crank
Custom Cam
katech oil pump, with Lingenfelter dry sump tank
IDE850 with pigtails
fuel pump upgrade(tbd)
might mouse catch can
and a lot of misc. support items.

Sorry about jumping in the middle of this thread, but I am a junior member and the FI learning curve is very steep! So, I just have one quick question: in reference the racetronix harness did you, or other people buy the pump booster interface connector set for an easier install, or just simply hard wire the BAP in? Thanks!

I used the connector. If you don't have access to a proper set of crimpers to make a good crimp then I would probably not go that route. I'd either use the connector + solder or just straight solder it. I personally would not just crimp it, even though there are hundreds of crimped electrical connectors on the car that work just fine.. I still would rather spend the 2 minutes to solder it too

Thanks.... I have no idea if heartbeats have made more. Since I switched blowers is don't follow the PD stuff as much as I once did.

Running a YSI now. Had no intention of changing but I had nothing left to do on that eforce build. I wanted a winter project and stumbled upon a YSI kit that was practically a gift...... so it just happened. LOL

591/580 at the wheels with an eforce 599 kit for LS3 plus a 3" pulley, 1.75 Pfadt headers, ID850 injectors, 12* timing, 93 octane and 10 psi boost. So, a better cam, meth/e85/race gas and more timing might get 650-700. I keep debating with myself of this next project.

This is a pretty good thread maybe to be resurrected. My 06z in the high 600's rwhp and just started playing with meth.
Plan to go to straight alky with Julios kit once the time is right. I would really like to see more write ups and sharing of information with meth/water injection especially on eforce along with peak HP numbers.

I will chime in here with some info. My car is currently at the shop getting a alky kit(julios as well) with e85. Interested in seeing what the numbers are. The motor is fully forged, and put down ~635 rwhp on 4 psi before going e85 and alky kit. I had a lot of issued with heat, hopefully the meth will help.

Sure hope you guys with big HP motors have wide enough top and 2nd ring end gaps to avoid butting together under high heat load and lifting the top of a piston after they jam in a cylinder!
