I have disassembled a fair amount of items needed for the ECS kit. I got to the oil cooler part (car is Z51 optioned) and noticed that what was depicted in the instructions differed from location and type on my car. I believe it is an aftermarket upgrade but want to confirm. It is mounted in front on the upper part of the lower air dam.
Here are a few pics of the cooler with lines.

If this is not typical, has anyone run into anything like this while installing an SC kit? I am just trying to get ahead of the reassembly.

They are all aftermarket, but that does not mean you cannot use them, you just have to be creative and at worst make some new lines. Let us know if you have any questions or if we can help.
I can say from experience and without hesitation that regardless of the kit manufacture installing your own Centrifugal Supercharger Charger is no small task.
Know that in the very near future you'll be able to say powerful sence of satisfaction, "Yea, I installed my own kit!"
I also have an external oil cooler and made some new brackets to allow that plus the intercooler to fit up front. Took a little extra work but glad I was able to keep the external cooler.
If it creates a large problem you can always remove the aftermarket oil cooler and lines, and run with no oil cooler. A lot of guys run our kits without an oil cooler, mostly Z06 guys do without it. No real reason to run the oil cooler on the street, and if you are going road racing I would not recommend a S/C kit!
However, we do have a bracket kit now that allows the use of the LS7 factory oil cooler with the STOCK radiator still in place.
I am to the point of installing the kit catch can. I think I have it right. The hose coming from right behind and below intake mani and is connected to intake throat gets removed. The metal line gets capped and the catch can hose connects to the intake, correct? Where in the heck does the other end of the catch can connect????

Hey D&C... You can check it out on Page 27 of our directions (The catch can just looks different but it gives you hose lengths to cut and where to install the PCV valve <-- very important!). One end goes to the intake manifold, other end goes to the Valley/Crankcase cover.
