Those are solid mounts. If you do not mind the added vibration, they look to be ok, that is, if you like spending 100$ on 10$ worth of metal and about 30 min of fab time.

I am assuming from the vibration and noise. thats why he hates them. I have hinson poly engine mounts and they are nice. a little more vibration but it doesnt bother me. I am debating if I should install the transmission mounts from hinson too but I am worried about the extra vibration.
I went with hinson because the are kinda in the middle between the stock mounts and the Pfadt. I will probably get only one of the two since they are proven quality products. but thats just me

Why would you only get one trans mount not both, if you already have motor mounts?
I am also looking to replace. I have been told the pfadt trany mount helps with traction?? Is this true. Or is there better mods to help get the power to the ground.
is there better? yes. Tires would be my first. then susp work. but for the price, the mounts do really help with wheel hop and a little traction. thats what I have been told. there is a lot of play with the factory soft mounts. I am sure some of the members can post their experience here. I dont have much and I only have the motor mounts which I have been told that still helps but the transmission mounts are better.
I just put hinson mounts in my car all around and noticed marginal increase in vibration while idling. It feels good though--its hard to describe, but it feels more raw--more visceral.
I have the pfadt motor and tranny mounts just haven't gotten around to installing them. maybe if I get the truck finished up I'll try and tackle them to see how I like it
Glad to hear the Hinson mounts are popular... I just bought the motor and tranny mount combo to do when I swap my clutch. With the addtion of the ECS trans brace, hopefully things stay nice and firm and don't flex. I'd like to keep the OEM z51 '09 tranny/dif alive as long as possible.
When we designed our engine and trans mounts we knew we didn't want to move to a solid mount. By using a polyurethane insert into our custom machined orange housings we provide our users with a level of noise/vibration/harshness isolation between the chassis and the engine or transmission. Ride quality is extremely subjective and we knew that you couldn't move to a solid mount without rattling folks teeth out. When you switch to a performance mount there is always going to be a possibility for increased NVH to the chassis, and our Engine and Trans mounts kits all now use the most compliant material possible that still provides an increase in performance.
It's important to note that it's not the mounts themselves generating any extra noise, but rather the performance mount has a possibility of transmitting more of the noise that would have otherwise been absorbed by the factory liquid filled mounts. It's a tricky part to manufacture. Some cars are dead quiet with the new mounts, and other engine or transmission combinations run rougher and their owners notice the mounts more.
Generally the Trans mounts are our first suggestion for street cars. They do a fantastic job at more firmly mounting the transmission to the subframe and preventing powertrain shake which can feel just like wheel hop. For more aggressive engine builds we also suggest replacing the factory mounts with our Engine mounts, they're much more robust and will handle the increased torque of high power applications without tearing.
