I am trying to get my personal shop finished by the fall so I'm holding up on the car until that's done and I have a lift. Little updates- picking up the shortblock and turbo kit next month. I should have a set of 18x4.5/ 18x12 weld RTS wheels here in a couple of weeks. I'm going to see if I can drive this thing into the 10s next month.

Quick idle vid of the current setup-

I picked up the new shortblock and the twin turbo kit while I was home. With the car still together I loaded up and hit the local drag strip despite the terribly hot and humid weather. I was surprised that my shifting skills are still fast and flawless, but with only 6 passes, launching a manual car on 18" drag radials proved to need more work...and rear gear if I were keeping the car in current 550rwhp form. Best I mustered was 11.4 @ 127mph on a 1.99 60'. For the 4000FT DA I was pretty impressed with the mph. Better conditions and launch and its a solid 10sec car.

Reason for the iforged on the back is because the weld RTS rears I was sent didn't even come close to clearing the calipers and I'm pretty pissed off about it right now..2 weeks later. More to follow.

The truck is a '08 with dpf delete, 3" downpipe, big CAI, Edge EVO race tuned. Nothing crazy performance wise. It did manage to put 470/870 to the dyno through the 40"s so it was a riot at a local dyno day. 10-12" Cognitto lift, 8" deaver spring pack in the rear. Wanting to do a solid axle swap and coilovers.

Previous owner of the Vette is a very cool guy. Sending me a box of extra oil filters and a wrench made my post track maintenance faster.
