I have DSS axles in my car. We're having trouble keeping seals in it. Another car at the shop I frequent is having the same issue. The tech investigated and found the seals are actually M-B front wheel seals, and hence are intended for grease not gear oil, which might be part of the problem.
Is anyone else running these axles having trouble with seals?
I'm having the same problem. New RPM ZR1 Trans, DSS Prop Shaft and RPM Diff with DSS Axles. I only drove the car for around 150 miles on this new drivetrain and seals are leaking. I'm really pissed !!
I'm expecting my new seals tomorrow and would like to know if I will be facing the same issue again before I change those seals.
Really sucks after you pay all this money and then get into such lame issues!
We have seen some issues with the seals. The issue seems to go away when you drive the seal in just a little deeper than flush. There is plenty of room to do this for the seal and the sealing surface.

Hi TJ,
Can you share photos of how the seal should be?
I'm planning on installing my new seals that Jeremy sent out to me today.
Are you installing the seal correctly? It can go in both ways and will only seal one way. Post up a picture of your issue.
I believe I´m doing it correctly. I did talk to DSS and they ask me for photo of the axel end going in to the diff so that will keep me busy for at least one or 2 afternoons. I will take photos of the seal.
