Default Shortened Dewitts

For those using a shortened Dewitts with their Centri setup.

What did your do about the gap left between the top of the radiator and the aluminum shroud. Right now mine is open and I believe it is contributing to excessive motor temps in stop and go traffic by allowing air from around the motor to recycle over top and back through the radiator. I will hit 225 in stop and go but drops to 189 when back to speed. This never happened with the factory unit.

Custom Alum (1.4mm thickness) shroud is what I'm doing right now....

Also planning to seal both left and right sides, so only allowing the air to enter from front

I hope I can overcome the overheating in stop and go traffic especially when the AC is on!

Cureent outside temp 43c (day) and around 33c (night)

Mines wide open. I never put the shroud back on and the temps don't get above 215 in stop and go traffic down here in Houston.
