Default Busy 4th....

Picked up my Edelbrock e-Force 1591 kit for my 08 C6 Z51 coupe Tuesday afternoon from the trucking company; (I'm local & couldn't wait on delivery date of the 5th ) spent the 4th & half the 5th installing it. Install wasn't bad following Motorhead-47's shortcut on pinning the crank. KUDOs One thing I would mention on mine though is; I had plenty of room to drill without taking the power steering fitting loose in front of the damper (less mess). Just positioned the fixture off to the side.

Friday, his tips on the fuel pump change helped also, but mine was a royal pain in the a$$. It apparently expanded somehat as I could not get it out without destroying the bottom part of it. But, after a bunch of sweat & choice words, I conquered it. Thank God I have a lift.

Saturday, I installed the LG long tube pro streets I had waiting on for the e-Force. A couple comments on the long tubes; I have read here that some have had problems installing them on a C6. I had absolutely none. They fell right into place. But, the clamps they supplied in the kit are S**T. Must be Chinese knockoffs or something as they are nowhere near Sealtites. I have some coming this week to address the leaks on each joint besides the factory ones on the rear, which I cut off to reuse. Other than that, I am very pleased with it so far. Alot to be said about the help you can get here from searching, reading & asking.

PS: Almost forgot; I also installed a group 35 Exide AGM battery to address the constantly leaking acid flooded battery that was in the car when I bought it. Not the OEM sized battery but it fits fine, just a little taller & wider. Also, not as pricey as an Odyssey & maybe a better design.

Wow, you were busy. Took me a little longer than that. I don't have a lift, but sure wish I did.

I had to destroy the cup to get my fuel pump out too. That really is a pain.

Looks like that tool did not arrive until you were done. Sorry about that!

Yea, you know how we are. Found if you remove the cover on driver's side of the block at the oil filter, you can turn the engine & at the right spot, you can insert a punch, allen wrench or whatever fits in the hole available to hold the flywheel. I was on a mission, sort of speak....
BTW; your tool is in the mail back to you with a little extra. Thank you so much.... If you ever need anything, just holler, I'll see what I can do...

Mike,

She's running great. I figure I'll do a little break-in miles before I romp on it to hard, but what little bit I have hit it so far, it's pretty stout to be a base C6. It is a blast to drive. No plans to track it as it is still my DD.

Thanks again...
