Yea 240 is pretty high. I know autos seem to run hotter! The worst I've ever seen was 230 and when I shut the ac off it dropped quickly. Most driving Im mid 190's maybe 200?

Their are a few threads on the forum that explains the procedure of purging the cooling system...

Your welcome I hope that helps and most of all you get that heat problem sorted out.. I'm not certain that is your problem but I've read a lot of that happening.. Again those numbers are very impressive.once that prob is solved it should run like scalded ape lol..

In this heat my auto is running between 235 and 244 consistently. I spoke with Nick about it and he said 260 was my need to shut it down to cool off temp. I have spoken to several people who have told me 240 245 was typical in this unbearable heat.

Thanks, that makes sense. I've been high revving the car just to see how she runs every night and she's been consistent temp wise. Guess I just need to keep careful eye in these crazy days of summer.

I have spent hours on the road course at bondurant in august while the c6 I was in never dropped below 240, however that is not the time to beat on your high hp vehicle.

Well I am below that so sounds like my new norm in high temp is a little above 210. I have not seen 240 this week. Thanks for responding.

I would be happy with 210.... I am concerned with the 235/244 I am reading now just not sure what else can be done to cool it down.

I am at the high end of boost on my stock engine. Next tune I will come down a bit on my next adds.

I was told being on the edge is causing my high temps and to be careful with a watchful eye. No HPDE or autcross runs. Were you given any restrictions?

And nice meeting the team at ECS Mecca.

Laid low on the drive back while my wife was trying to get me to go full WOT against her 335. I was just happy to hear all the new sounds from the car. Headers right on the spot. I need ear plugs with flaps open, just what I wanted.
I guess the BOV thingy was interesting along with some other new sounds coming from the front.

Now it is time to give the beast a deep clean and just get back in my usual stare position in the garage.

I know, I know.... yeah I will hit it later tonight.

Dyno post coming. Just insane.

I assume you are getting your MPG from the display? If so it is way off due to the new injectors on the car

As far as the coolant temps......welcome to the life of a high hp corvette owner in the summer time

I'm sure ECS uses the same system to fill the radiator. It pulls a vacuum to remove air and check for leaks, then uses the vacuum created to pull the fluid into the system.

Whoa wait a minute. It is what DIC is reporting for trip. So are you now saying my onboard system is jacked up due to injectors? Need laymen speak here I have no idea what you are talking about. Makes no sense to me.

Yep, the MPG won't read correct since the new injectors! That's good since mine says like an average of 12mpg now! Lol

Not by the dic computer. You could do the math if you REALLY wanted to know I guess? I just learned that not to long ago myself. I wondered why it was normaly close to 12mpg average but I was DEFF getting better than that! Honestly I could care less if that dic gauge works. I know where the gas needle is! lol! I leave the dic on coolant temp now anyways. Its not an issue much but if I see over 225 I kill the AC. I check the tires with it, and peek at the overall milage on the car maybe once a week? I do oil changes every 3k so I dont look at that on there either. I do know from my drive home from Letahal that I get BETTER gas milage after the SC than before. I filled up before leaving the house and before leaving Lethal so I got "real world" milage.

None other that to take it easy for a bit to let the new motor break in. I havent even pushed boost yet. Although I am getting impatient...

I don't care about MPG either. I didn't build her for that....

I was flipping through the DIC yesterday and it said average 10mpg... I laughted to myself and thought..... as bad *** as this cars sounds and performs 10 mpg is GREAT!!!! lololol....

I use my DIC to monitor temps only and most of the time it stays on oil temps. my other temps are all great. Oil temps worry me but it is 100 degrees here with a heat index up to 110 at times... I just take it easy and try not to get caught in traffic. I also raise my hood as soon as I get to the house...
