Default 243s or 317s

I will be putting blower on my car next week with a blower cam. Boost pressure will be 10 psi. What is the better head for my combo? I know the 317 will lower compression. But will it be capable of making as much power as the 243s?

They're pretty much the same head flow wise. You'll lose power, fuel eco, and drivability by lowering the compression ratio with the bigger cc 317's. Drivability might not be an issue depending on the cam. You can run your 10psi comfortably with the right combo with 243 heads. I'm assuming you're talking about blowing a stock LS2 with cam?

Keep the 243's.

Yes it is a stock ls2 with full bolt ons and cam. Is there any reason you guys are saying keep the 243s or is it just because it's a forum favorite.

If you ditch the 243's you have now for 317's, you will spend time and money to get less power and less fuel eco. You gain no air flow and you lose a full point of compression ratio. Why would you want to do that?

No, were saying it because they will make more power. The days of low compression boosted engines are over...
