Default Nitrous controller? Who makes these?

I remember seeing a controller that had an L D display that would allow you to switch tunes and control several nitrous features. Anyone know what Im talking about?

There's one made by Lingenfelter that is rather new and also another made by one of the companies that makes boost controllers. Can't for the life of me remember the name. It I remember it had an aluminum looking housing.
The Lingenfelter looks prett promising.

NLR1000

I have it and its easy to use. I am not using all the functions thought. just simple stuff. but I am pretty sure you can go through the whole menu without looking at an instructions. it also have quick help notes and tips that you can read on the controller. you can save three different settings but I dont think it swiches the tunes. I think it just changes the percentage of the nitrous and how it kicks in...etc but timing and the actual tune is the same. I have a Lingenfilter timing box to pull timing which is easy to use if everything is hooked up right.

Does that controller replace all the other electrical stuff? Like RPM box, WOT switch, etc? I've had very bad experience with electrical stuff, so I'd like an all in one accessory if I can get it. I was thinking of doing a dry shot with Nano and just use manual *****. I've read that there is a box that will store an NA tune and a nitrous tune?

I think the new lingenfilter unit is pretty much all in 1 I think. but you better double check. I use a lingenfilter timing box that pulls timing when my nitrous switch is on. when its off it switches back to my N/A timing.

the NLR1000 is def not all in one. no window switch, no WOT switch, no timing retard. mine is 3 boxes. the NLR1000 + Nitrous outlet window/WOT switch, and LF timing box.

Default Lingenfelter NCC-001 nitrous controller

Here is a picture of our NCC-001 nitrous controller with the LCD display (USB cable is plugged in at the top and then the two wires on the side are just to power the unit up for the picture):

Here is a list of some of the main features:
• Two user programmable independent stages of progressive nitrous and fuel control
• Independent control of both nitrous and fuel duty cycle for each stage
• Stores 3 user programs (nitrous configurations) on-board and you can switch between them using the controller buttons [Unlimited number of configurations can be saved on your PC]
• User adjustable delay on nitrous enable vs fuel enable time
• On-board data logging
• On-board programming of settings via controller buttons
• View settings and data with the on-board 128x64 screen
• USB based programming of settings via PC interface and included software
• USB software updates for new features and other updates
• USB interface to retrieve and view logged data
• Modify nitrous based on time, RPM, vehicle speed, TPS
Programmable fuel pressure and AFR safety nitrous overrides
• Programmable time based safety to disable nitrous and fuel after set amount of time
• Closed loop bottle warmer control via nitrous pressure sensor input and relay output

To have the timing retard feature and the 2-step feature on LSx type engines, you have to add the LNC-2000. Those features aren't built into the NCC-001. The NCC-001 can be connected to the LNC-2000 so that you can have progressive timing retard that is tied to your nitrous level in the NCC-001 programs.

The NCC-001 can connect to your engine RPM signal; throttle position sensor (TPS); clutch switch or clutch position sensor (for newer cars); and your vehicle speed sensor signal so it eliminates the need for a window switch, WOT switch and clutch switch in most EFI applications.

The NCC-001 also has two relay output controls, a shift light output control and a timer output control so it can also be used to control your shift light, bottle heater, etc. so this should further simplify the components needed.

On many of the GM LSx EFI applications you can also use one of the outputs to trigger the ECM/PCM to go into E85 mode (using an EFILive custom operating system or equivalent) so then you can run a dry nitrous system and have the ECM handle the additional fuel when in nitrous mode. This simplifies the fuel plumbing and assures you of good fuel distribution without having to go to an individual nitrous/fuel jet system. It also eliminates running fuel in the supercharger in valley mounted superchargers (generally not recommended for durability, safety and added belt drive load reasons) but still lets you have the nitrous injected prior to the supercharger which significantly helps reduce manifold air temperatures. We are doing this on our 427 CID LS9 2010 Camaro SS (that just reset the fastest IRS 2010-2013 Camaro record).

When we installed the NCC-001 nitrous controller on our 2010 Camaro SS test vehicle we were able to remove the RPM window switch module, MPH activated switch module, shift light module, and the clutch position sensor switch module.
