Default Tune

My "08" LS3 produced 784.7 RWHP I had a single nozzle with 13 lbs of boost. Car was tuned by Doug at ECS. It is currently in the shop for upgrades and I expect to be making additional HP. You may not need the dual nozzle. I believe there are different nozzle sizes. Others may chime in.

I think the car with 80+ rwhp will be more fun to drive.

I think it is to much for the stock bottom. If you have a back up plan or you are ok with the car being down for a rebuild then go for it.

many will say it is fine, many will agree with me. the choice comes down to you and your checkbook.

either way have fun, that is what it is all about!!!

I'd leave it alone. I imagine the engine will live a lot longer at 650hp since you're already running moderate boost and meth, you have a nice safe zone. No need to take it to the limit.

The engine will live longer if you leave it alone. including if you drive it hard.

If the car was tuned let's say 4 about 12 to 13 pounds of boost wouldn't motor be fine as long as it didn't see those levels often n wasn't driven hard all the time or are you saying if lets say 5500 rpm it make about the same power levels I'm seeing now I would destroy engine at same power level but lower rpm

I have a bone stock LS2 making 720/643 with ECS's kit, meth, fuel system, and exhaust work. I drive it sparingly (it's a toy) but when I do, I am known to get on it. Its together 3 seasons - 8000 miles. The car is as fast as a liter bike. I have run out of speedometer before the car runs out of power on a few pulls. Otherwise, I rarely run it through 5 th gear (4.10 rear).

Get a good tune, run good gas (add vp 109 to your fills), and exercise common sense with the power and the car will live. Drive it like a moron, do repeated back to back pulls, ignore your gauges, run crap gas, or fail to do routine maintenance and have your check book ready.

Upgrade your buttom end and turn the boost up to reach 800+ rwhp with decent tires & fuel system and be happy... otherwise just let it as is now..IMHO

Excellent advice
I also have an ECS ride (tvs2300 supercharger) and am very happy with the car (695rwhp 652rwtq, at 10.5psi). Just make sure the shop doing the work knows what they are doing and have fun
