Default A&A kit pipe sizes

I'm looking to find the size of the piping that is supposed to come off the blower discharge.

I believe the blower only has a 3" outlet and is is the piping going from the blower to the intercooler. Especially my kit the piping goes across and joins at the intercooler on the driver's side.

Does anyone know what the point would be to then have 3.5" outlet going from the intercooler to the throttle body or some guys even go 4" if the piping coming from the blower is only 3" to my understanding.

Especially at the blower I would assume its at it's hottest so it expands, by time it gets through the intercooler it does not need as much volume from cooler air, so how would increasing pipe size there make any difference?

Thanks for any input, I was going to build a 4" pipe from intercooler to throttle body, until this crossed my mind.

I'm thinking its only an advantage if you have bigger than V1- S trim. The S trim being 2.75" outlet I don't think going bigger than 3" will make a difference, or am I wrong, did anyone go bigger on S-trim and notice a difference?

Thanks.
