Does anyone know if there is a version of a front steam vent for any LS series motor that has a vertical port vs. this style that points to the front/rear when installed? Part number?
Kinda, I was trying to think of the best way to describe it. That looks like the standard steam port pictured in the image I attached (and what is currently on the front of my LS3).
I thought there might be a version for a truck or something where the steam port pointed 'UP' instead of 'forward', thus making it easier to use on the rear of the engine.
I don't think that one will work. It points it toward the throttle body, Which would make it go towards the middle of your intake manifold in the back.

Yea, it's hard to tell in that diagram how much it points back towards the middle of the valley. I thought if a -4 an fitting like the links above worked though, there might be enough space for that barb with some coolant hose and a clamp.
companies make adapter fittings so you can run custom lines like kurts units, or of course a turn key solution is always nice!
Yea, I'm just looking at cheaper alternatives since the solutions people use range from home made and cheap to hundreds in an fittings and lines. I thought oem front and back might be a nice middle ground.
Just so I understand what are you trying to accomplish?
Open up the rear coolant steam vents and 'y' it in with the front vents to run all 4 vs just the fronts with the rears blocked. The theory is that this helps rear cylinder temps.
Even better, part number 307 from a 2009 Cadillac escalade has the port on the other side where the intake manifold bulge is smaller and it points straight up.
That's the best price I've seen on those fittings. Buying 4 of them costs about the same as that rear steam tube from gmpartshouse though, then you would need to either buy an fittings or barbed fittings.
I'm just going to keep my oe front tube, add that upright rear tube for ~$25 and then run a line down the driver side fuel rail, Y into the front tube and continue that line forward to the original output location. Should be the cheapest option and look pretty clean.
