Default Decision help

Ok I'm on the fence about getting an sc. If I do it's between the A&A and ECS

PLEASE DO NOT TRUN THIS INTO A BASHING SESSION.

What are the differences? Seems like about $700 for the kit itself but what about the hardware? Any belt issues with either system? Can either one be a DIY project (A&A has instructions on their site). Reliability?

Any constructive input would be really appreciated.

Very simple... if you are in the west coast, stick with A&A... If you are in the east coast, get a ECS....

I was in the same boat 1 year ago... i went with ECS and it worked out perfect for me. Great people to deal with too!

You can't go wrong either way. GL~

I decided on ECS. I got the impression the kits are very similiar in design. I read and watched many dyno run ups, I read what they had done to the cars.. Boost PSI, Meth, headers, cam and etc. to look for results on kit performances...

A&A seems to be a bit more conservative on the base kit 3.8" pulley (Lower boost). If you go A&A I would pulley down and run the higher boost as ECS does with the Meth injection. You will need a tuner with a good reputation that knows what they are doing and is experienced.

There are some that feel the LS3 won't handle this and that. I figured it this way... As a DD street car with very little track time, I rarely will use all that is on tap. But when I do... It will be there. If it breaks then it breaks.

For me a huge decision factor came down too the main shop in New Jersey for ECS. (as I live near pittsburgh)When putting down a substantial sum for a professional install.

Doug Ring is an EXCELLENT tuner and his team installs these kits in their sleep. They are very good people to work with and All the members Doug and Chris's team at ECS are top notch!

They have instructions at ECS to install their kits, Keep in mind you should get it dyno tuned when your done with the install if you DIY or not too. You can get a "Canned tune" from either vendor to get you going.

I want to be clear on my post... These are not facts.. These are my Impressions and Opinions based on MY recent shopping experience. I am NOT a supercharging expert.

Also make sure you make a checklist of the parts included in each kit and line them up side by side so you get a true cost.

I've had both. I prefer the ECS kit. Both are easy. ECS has instructions on the site. A bit easier to install. If you get the A&A make sure to pay extra to upgrade to the 4" UIC pipe, tial bov, and t-trim that you would get standard on the ECS kit.

I personally prefer Procharger but out of your two choices I would go with ECS for the reasons Unreal stated.
