Why do you want more power if you claim your clutch can't hold what it's currently making

I'd rather take the time and couple bucks for a dyno session to pull my axle-back and see what the gains are muffler vs. no muffler before I go buy something new.

Race Proven Motorsports ran that exact test for me a year ago. Car made 927 rwhp with stock z06 mufflers. If my memory is correct it was just over 19lbs. Without mufflers 1,022 rwhp at 20lbs. This is a turbo car.

I am just wanting a clear answer, I PM two ppl and have gotten two different answers. That section of dual 2.5 right before the muffler will pick up more power if 3 inch? I don't have a dyno in my area to do a test....

People have made big power with the stock muffler. But I think a better flowing exhaust set up will typically yield more hp, it did for me. Also the power may carry better through the rpm band, which may be more important than just increased peak numbers.
